The headquarter of Frigstad Offshore group, its group management team and board of directors is located in Limassol, Cyprus. The operational management team is based in our offices in Kristiansand, Norway.
Experience: Landaas-Nilsen joined Frigstad Group in December 2023 as CEO. He previously spent 13 years in various positions for the MacGregor Group(Cargotec Oyj.) in both Norway and Singapore, as Divisional CFO(Finance Director) for the Offshore Division with global operations. During the past years he was also a Board Member in affiliated companies like Flintstone Technology Ltd. and Woodfield Systems Ltd., both based in the UK.
Education: M.Sc. Business Administration (Project Management) from UiA (University of Agder).
Ian Martin joined Frigstad Offshore as Chief Operations Officer in 2019. He has been in the oil & gas industry since 1983. From 2008 until 2018, he held several senior management roles within Songa Offshore looking after their international floater operations. Most recently he served as Senior Vice President of Operations, responsible for the Songa Opus Offshore joint venture based in Singapore. Prior to joining Songa, he worked as Senior Drilling Foreman, Rig Manager and Senior Rig Manager with GlobalSantaFe / Transocean from 2001-2007, being involved in construction and operation of several ultra deepwater drilling units. Ian Martin started his career working onboard offshore drilling units internationally, starting as Roughneck and advancing to Rig Superintendent / OIM before moving onto onshore management roles. He has been in charge of worldwide rig operations across Norway, West Africa, North Africa, Russia, South East Asia and Australia.
Mark Greenhow joined Frigstad Offshore as QHSE Manager in 2014. From 2008 to 2013, he worked with Northern Offshore and served as their QHSE Director from 2010, responsible for the worldwide fleet plus onshore offices. He was consultant from 2004 to 2010 and worked with Global Santa Fe from 1999 to 2004, predominantly as OIM before becoming Rig Manager GSF Semi Rig 140. He been involved in the Oil & Gas Industry since 1981, working his way up through the ranks from Deck Cadet to Master. Along with a Master Mariner education, Mark Greenhow holds a NEBOSH General Certificate.
Jose previously served as CEO in Norse Energy do Brazil. During his ten years with Norse Energy, an international oil company listed on the Oslo stock exchange, he was responsible for the successful financing, acquisition and development of several oil and gas fields, both on and offshore in Brazil. Jose joined Petrobras in 1972. During his 17 years with Petrobras until 1998, he held several senior positions within Petrobras International, such as General Manager in South Yemen from 1982 to 1987 and General Manager in Libya from 1988 to 1995. Jose was the founder of Petrobras Bolivia and its first CEO in 1996. He has also headed Petrobras’ new ventures department. Jose holds a Bachelor degree in Geology and an MBA degree in Engineering Economics from University of Rio de Janeiro.
Harald Frigstad founded Frigstad Offshore in 1989 and has since then served as General Manager and later Chairman of the company. From 2006 - 2009 Harald Frigstad was CEO of Frigstad Discoverer Invest Limited (FDIL), a rig owning company founded by the Frigstad group, listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and sold in October 2007 to the Italian drilling contractor Saipem S.p.A. From 1987 - 1989 he was in charge of starting operations of the DS Viking Explorer and DS Viking Driller for Viking Offshore Drilling AS, in which he was a shareholder. In 1985 and 1986 he was Operations Manager for the drillship Compass Driller and also shareholder of Compass Drilling AS. Harald Frigstad joined the drilling industry in 1971 as offshore crew. He started as Galley Helper and climbed the ranks with Global Marine, Viking Offshore and Dolphin Drilling until he became Rig Superintendent in 1979. From 1979 to 1985 he was Rig Superintendent on semi-submersible drilling rigs Borgny Dolphin, Borgsten Dolphin and Byford Dolphin. While working offshore, he had various assignments as rig design consultant and college lecturer on offshore drilling technology.
Mr Elias is Director of the Cyprus companies within the Frigstad Group and is based in Cyprus. He has been with the Group since 2012. He has long experience with management of offshore, marine and other international companies in Cyprus. Prior to joining the Frigstad Group, he worked with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in Cyprus for almost 20 years. His last role in PWC was as Senior Manager in the Global Compliance Service department in Limassol, handling administration of companies including statutory compliance, bank administration, liaising with tax advisors and auditors, business development and account management. He was member of the PWC Cyprus Quality and Risk management Team until 2011. From 1998 to 1993 he operated his own company providing accountancy services in North London. From 1981 to 1988 he was Manager with Bennet Nash Woolf & Co, a chartered accounting and registered auditor firm in London. Mr Elias holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Technology from University College of Swansea, University of Wales.
Anastasios Televantides is Executive Director for Frigstad Offshore’s holding and operational companies in Cyprus. He has solid experience from the shipping and ship management industries from his long tenure with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in Cyprus. Mr Televantides worked for PWC from 1973 to 2008 and served as Partner in charge of their Limassol office for 25 years. He was also Deputy Managing Partner and member of the Executive Board of PWC in Cyprus. Mr Televantides is Honorary Treasurer of Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and serves as director of the board in several larger international companies incorporated in Cyprus.
