Island Innovator

FEK was assigned by ABN AMRO / Mass Capital Invest to do a technical due diligence of Island Innovator. The project was divided into 3 sessions:

Session 1:
Preparation works in Kristiansand / on route to China, reviewing contractual requirements and rig specification. The basic requirement was PTil requirements to allow the rig operating in North Sea regions. On top of that, oil operator requirement, Lundin, was required to be matched with rig specification.

Session 2:
The session included site inspection in Cosco Zhoushan shipyard prior to the rig leaving China. The technical workshop included technical interview with Odfjell rig Manager and Ptil representative.

Session 3:
The session included rig inspection in Bintan, Indonesia, enroute to North Sea. The focus of inspection was to assess the outstanding works, commissioning status, punch list closure, and future plan for the coming leg of transit to Norway and planned works to be done in Norway.
