Frigstad Engineering has launched a new harsh environment version of the Frigstad D90 design with 14,000ft water depth capacity and ability to carry two 20K BOPs.

The Frigstad D90 Mk3 represents the latest within technology for harsh environment and ultra deepwater offshore drilling. The new design has significantly larger hull and storage capacities than the previous generation of the D90 design. 

Key features:

• Operational displacement of 113,301t
• Water depth capacity of 14,000ft
• 2 x 1,500 st dual drilling cylinder rig with full handling capabilities. Each rig has 1,500 st capacity in elevator. 
• Five main mud pumps, 2,200 HP each. 
• Two 20K BOPs
• Can be equipped with up to ten 7.5MW thrusters, providing superior station keeping capabilities
