PDVSA secures the Frigstad D90 rig, Scarabeo 9 for Cuba campaign.
- According to ODS, PDVSA has sublet the Frigstad designed semi submersible rig Scarabeo 9 from Repsol, for their «miminum one well» campaign offshore Cuba
- The Frigstad D90 rig has already drilled a well for Repsol in the same area, which was dry, and is currently working for Petronas, also in Cuba
- Repsol said earlier this year that they do not intend to pursue additional drilling offshore Cuba.
