Frigstad Offshore is developing a new project to construct and operate a floating wind turbine installation vessel of the Frigstad W90 design.

Frigstad Offshore has ventured into the offshore wind industry with ambitions to place an order for one or more wind turbine installation vessels of the Frigstad W90 design. 

The Frigstad W90 design has been developed by Frigstad Engineering to provide a safer and more efficient installation of offshore wind turbines, both for bottom-fixed and floating wind farms. The unit is equipped with a uniqe WindTower lifting and assembly tower,designed by Frigstad Engineering. 

The Frigstad W90 provides a new solutions for assembly and installation of wind turbines, utilizing technology and experience from the offshore drilling industry. The assembly and installation process is based on grip-to-grip handling of wind turbine components which enhances the operating window of the vessel significantly.
